The artist
The blues is the root.
The mission reaches further.
B. Douglas is a guitarist, vocalist, composer, arranger, recording artist and educator whose work spans fifty years of live music.
Leading The Travelers For Peace, he draws from Chicago, Memphis, Mississippi Hill Country, Texas and Kansas City blues, then opens the sound toward gospel, soul and American roots music. The result is a seasoned, audience-first show with room for deep grooves, real stories and spontaneous connection.
Based in Springfield, Illinois, B. Douglas has performed from Beale Street to Hollywood and on international stages in Kraków, Trinidad & Tobago and West Frankfurt. His larger purpose is always present: use music to build peace, carry culture forward and educate the next generation.
